Chelsea midfielder Vera Jones has put pen to paper on a new contract committing her future to the club until at least 2029.

Having joined the Blues in the summer of 2024, the 18-year-old agreed her first professional contract with us in February of last year, and has now signed on for the next three years.

On signing her new deal, Jones said: 'I'm really pleased to be renewing my contract at Chelsea. I've enjoyed my time so far, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what's to come and continuing to learn and grow. I've had a lot of support from everyone at the club, including the academy.

'I hope to make my debut soon, get that first goal, and then eventually play at Stamford Bridge.'

Jones spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan in the Women’s Super League 2 with Bristol City, where she gained valuable experience in the senior game by making 22 appearances, five of them from the start.

She has also featured internationally for England at youth level, most recently scoring for the Under-20s in a 1-1 draw with the USA in July.

Congratulations, Vera!
