Joao Pedro vs Tottenham

We begin our shortlist with the decisive goal in our 1-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the start of November – and a lot of the praise for the strike has to come from the assist.

Moises Caicedo’s tireless work to win the ball created the chance, before the Ecuadorian played a squared pass to Joao Pedro to fire home emphatically.

Alejandro Garnacho vs Qarabag

Our next strike comes from our trip to Azerbaijan in the Champions League. Receiving the ball on the edge of the box, Garnacho winger drove into the area before unleashing a left-footed strike into the bottom corner.

Shim Mheuka (1st) vs Reading U21s

Our first selection from the Academy comes from the ever-reliable Mhueka. Samuel Rak-Sakyi, who made his Blues debut in the Conference League last season, played in Shim with a clever cutback, which allowed the striker to sweep a low strike into the bottom corner.

Pedro Neto vs Wolves

The first of two Pedro Neto strikes on the shortlist came against his former club, Wolverhampton Wanderers. It was a break that saw Garnacho latch onto Enzo Fernandez’s through-ball, burst forward and square for Neto to finish from close range. The pair then celebrated on the advertising hoardings together.

Pedro Neto vs Burnley

Pedro’s next strike came from Turf Moor as he headed home Jamie Gitten’s pinpoint cross, breaking the deadlock as we went on to beat the Clarets 2-0 in the Premier League.

Estevao Willian vs Barcelona

The penultimate nomination comes from Estevao, and it’s fair to say that this is a memorable goal. Coming against the Spanish champions in the Champions League, the Brazilian twisted past two defenders before unleashing a powerful effort into the roof of the net.

Reggie Watson vs West Ham U18s

Our final shortlisted strike comes from the Under-18s, and it is a brilliant free-kick during our 2-1 win over West Ham. Stepping up to take the set-piece, Watson lifted the ball over the wall and into the net, with the goalkeeper rooted to his spot.
