Chelsea have a rich history in the FA Cup and ahead of our next game in the competition, against Port Vale after the international break, we have picked out 16 of our best FA Cup goals and are asking you to choose your favourite in a knockout-style poll!

As you would expect, some of the very greatest players to have worn the blue shirt feature, including the likes of Peter Osgood, Gianfranco Zola, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.

We have only selected goals we have the footage of, and choosing just 16 was no easy task! We can only apologise if we have not included your favourite, but we had to draw the line somewhere!

We will narrow the vote down from 16, to eight, to four, to two and then our winner, which we will announce next week.

Every other day until there will be a fresh vote exclusively on the Chelsea Official App - and we start with the Round of 16.

Like in a major tournament, there are eight ties, and we want you to choose which goal you think is the best from each pairing. Those with the most votes will advance to Thursday's quarter-finals, which will again be decided by a poll on the Chelsea Official App.

We have created separate videos for each pairing so you can compare the two goals before casting your vote. And don't forget to check back in this week and next as we get close to our winner, which will be revealed on Wednesday 1 April.

1. Peter Houseman vs Peter Osgood

Peter Houseman vs Watford – 1970 semi-final

On a pitch you have to see to believe - even by the standards of the day - Peter Houseman showcased skill, speed, persistence and finesse to find the corner at the end of a jinking run during a 5-1 victory over Watford at White Hart Lane.

Peter Osgood vs Leeds – 1970 final replay

Peter Osgood's picturesque flying header that drew us level in the Cup final replay at Old Trafford in 1970 was watched by what remains the highest TV audience in the UK for a domestic game of football, 28 million.

2. Andriy Shevchenko vs Didier Drogba

Andriy Shevchenko vs Tottenham – 2007 sixth round replay

Andriy Shevchenko's Chelsea career may not have hit the heights we hoped it would, but this stunning left-footed effort into the top corner at White Hart Lane was a highlight that will live long in the memory.

Didier Drogba vs Tottenham – 2012 semi-final

The goal that gave us the lead in the 2012 semi-final at Wembley epitomised Didier Drogba, with the Ivorian rolling his former team-mate William Gallas before firing a rising drive into Carlo Cudicini's top corner.

3. Graeme Le Saux v Gianfranco Zola

Graeme Le Saux – 1998 third round

It was not often Peter Schmeichel got lobbed but that is exactly what Graeme Le Saux managed with an impudent effort from range during a 5-3 defeat at the Bridge that spelled an early end to our Cup defence.

Gianfranco Zola vs Norwich – 2002 third round replay

The gasps around the Bridge when this goal was replayed on the big screen told the story, as Gianfranco Zola's mid-air backflicked volley from a Graeme Le Saux corner was, quite frankly, scarcely believable.

4. Clive Walker vs Gianfranco Zola

Clive Walker vs Liverpool – 1978 third round

Chelsea sprung a surprise against the reigning English and European champions, winning 4-2 at Stamford Bridge with the highlight a swerving long-range strike by homegrown Clive Walker.

Gianfranco Zola vs Liverpool – 1997 fourth round

During probably our greatest ever FA Cup comeback - from 0-2 down at half-time to 4-2 victors by the end - Zola drew us level against Liverpool with a sweetly-struck effort on his supposedly weaker left foot.

5. Didier Drogba vs Gianfranco Zola

Didier Drogba vs Portsmouth – 2010 final

A tight Wembley showpiece was settled by a moment of genius from Drogba, whose bending, dipping free-kick was inch-perfect.

Gianfranco Zola vs Wimbledon – 1997 semi-final

Gianfranco Zola summoned up an exquisite turn on the run and then a pinpoint finish to provide Chelsea fans at Highbury with an indelible FA Cup memory.

6. Frank Lampard vs Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard vs Everton – 2009 final

The first of two long-range specials Frank Lampard scored in FA Cup games at Wembley is his winner in the 2009 final, fired into the top corner on his left. He celebrated in style around the corner flag, following in the footsteps of his dad who had done the same following his FA Cup semi-final goal against the same opposition in 1980.

Frank Lampard vs Tottenham – 2012 semi-final

Three years later, Lamps struck a free-kick from even further out that whistled into the net during a 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham.

7. Nemanja Matic vs Olivier Giroud

Nemanja Matic vs Tottenham – 2017 semi-final

Nemanja Matic wasn't renowned for goalscoring and that was partly what made his left-footed thunderbolt against Tottenham in 2017 so remarkable. Kurt Zouma's iconic reaction told the story!

Olivier Giroud vs Southampton – 2018 semi-final

Olivier Giroud's twinkle toes were too hot for the Southampton defence to handle, with several strewn across the Wembley turf after the Frenchman danced between them to score the opener in a tight semi-final in 2018.

8. Roberto Di Matteo vs Enzo Fernandez

Roberto Di Matteo vs Middlesbrough – 1997 final

Arguably the most memorable Chelsea goal scored at Wembley, Roberto Di Matteo's spectacular opener inside a minute set the tone for a special day as we lifted the Cup for the first time in a generation.

Enzo Fernandez vs Aston Villa – 2024 fourth round replay

Enzo Fernandez delivered a postage-stamp free-kick past his compatriot Emi Martinez in a replay success at Villa Park two years ago now.
