Seven superb strikes across our men’s, women’s, and Academy sides are competing to be named Chelsea’s Goal of the Month for January.

The New Year started with a bang as the Blues reached the first cup final of the Mauricio Pochettino era with a 6-2 aggregate win over Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Meanwhile, our women’s side made a flying start to 2024, with five wins from five in all competitions as Emma Hayes’ team topped their Champions League group.

You can get involved by selecting your favourite finish from the seven nominations in our live poll (above). The winner will then be announced via Chelsea channels.

If you need a reminder of any of the goals before voting, check out the video below recapping the best from January.

Raheem Sterling vs Preston (H)

Our first entry comes courtesy of Sterling in the 4-0 FA Cup route of Preston. Sterling showed his ability from dead-ball situations with a wonderful dipping free-kick from just outside the penalty area that flew into the net.

Tyrique George vs Manchester United U21 (H)

The 17-year-old has started the New Year in fine form and has been nominated twice on this list. The first selection is his wonderful finish in the thrilling 3-2 win over Manchester United at Kingsmeadow; George cut inside from the left wing and, with a few stepovers thrown in for good measure, unleashed a fierce drive into the top corner.

Mia Fishel vs West Ham (H)

A stunning finish from women’s forward Mia Fishel in a hard-fought 3-1 win over West Ham makes the January shortlist. With Chelsea a goal down at Kingsmeadow, our grip on the Women’s FA Cup was starting to slip. But Fishel stepped up, swiveling superbly in the box before firing into the roof of the opposition net to level the tie.

Tyrique George vs Everton U18 (A)

The fourth entry this month is George’s second nomination, for his incredible finish against Everton in the FA Youth Cup. Receiving the ball on the half-turn, George spins a defender before firing home via the post with a ruthless finish, leaving the opposition defence stunned.

Frankie Runham vs Colchester U21 (H)

Our second nomination from the Under-21s is Frankie Runham’s early goal in the 4-1 win over Colchester in the Premier League Cup at Kingsmeadow. Runham produced an explosive turn and finish to give us the lead after Reiss Denny won the ball high up the pitch.

Cole Palmer vs Middlesbrough (H)

Continuing his fine run of form into 2024, Palmer was at the double in our 6-1 win over Middlesbrough to book a spot at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final. Palmer’s second goal makes the January shortlist, the forward producing a quality first-time finish from Conor Gallagher’s cutback following some excellent work out wide.

Lauren James vs Brighton (A)

The final entry on January's list is another from the women’s side, courtesy of the in-form Chelsea No.10 Lauren James. With the Blues' trip to Brighton goalless just after half-time, James produced a moment of magic, meeting an inviting cross from Niamh Charles first time, on the volley that gave the goalkeeper no chance. One of her best goals for the club to date.

The winning strike will be announced later this week via the Official Chelsea App, the club website and our social media channels.
