October was a busy time for the Chelsea men’s, women’s and Academy teams and now it’s time to vote for the best goal of the month…
Kalidou Koulibaly and Ben Chilwell have won the two supporter votes already held this season and now we have another eight-goal shortlist for you to choose from.
You can place your vote at the link below and also refresh your memory by re-watching all eight strikes on October’s shortlist.
Conor Gallagher vs Crystal Palace
Another Academy graduate netting his first goal in the dying stages of a Premier League game, Gallagher’s strike against the side he spent last season on loan at was even more dramatic.
It won us the game at Selhurst Park and came in spectacular fashion, an unstoppable bending effort into the top corner after muscling past his marker on the edge of the box.
Mason Burstow vs Oxford United
The Blues' development squad team were losing this EFL Trophy clash late in the game away to a senior side when young striker Burstow, only just inside the opposition half, spotted the opportunity to catch the Oxford goalkeeper out and executed it brilliantly with a spectacular long-ranger.
Chelsea went on to win 2-1.
Armando Broja vs Wolves
Broja’s first senior goal for his boyhood Blues came in the final minute of our confident victory over Wolves at Stamford Bridge, wrapping up a 3-0 Premier League win.
The young striker was slid through by Mateo Kovacic and then shifted the ball onto his right foot before planting a classy finish unerringly into the bottom corner.
Mason Mount vs Aston Villa
Having fired us in front at Villa Park, Mount added another midway through the second half with a swerving free-kick that wrong-footed goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
The Argentinian had taken an early step towards his near post and was duly deceived by the dipping strike, which dropped below the crossbar and rippled the back of the net.
Niamh Charles vs Everton
Taking a high ball on halfway, Charles showed strength and speed to accelerate away from one defender before skipping past another two on her way into the 18-yard box.
With the left-hand side of the goal gaping, the Lionesses international slotted her finish low below the goalkeeper’s dive to seal a 3-1 victory.
Omari Hutchinson vs Leyton Orient
Playing for our Under-21s against the east London club's first team in an EFL Trophy encounter, the then 18-year-old continued to cement his reputation for quality goals with this solo effort - a long run and superb strike.
It proved crucial too, the opener in a 3-2 away win as the young Blues progressed.
Kai Havertz vs RB Salzburg
With Chelsea struggling to get past the impressive Salzburg goalkeeper in our Champions League matchday five encounter, it took something special to take all three points home from Austria.
Up stepped Havertz, who placed a perfect curling shot into the top corner off the underside of the crossbar.
Lauren James vs Aston Villa
James’s second against Villa restored our lead on the way to a 3-1 success and was a smart rising finish at the end of a flowing attack.
The 21-year-old provided an option for Pernille Harder on the overlap and took the Dane’s pass with a brilliant first touch before firing the ball high into the roof of the net.
