Voting is now open for Chelsea’s January Goal of the Month award, with five eye-catching strikes from across our men’s and women’s sides to choose from!

The two goals that helped secure Thomas Tuchel’s first win as Chelsea head coach are included, coming courtesy of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, while Kai Havertz’s powerful header from our FA Cup win over Morecambe at the start of the month also makes the shortlist.

While there are two entries from our Women’s side to complete the set, with both goals coming in our win over Manchester City.

Niamh Charles’s stunning volley is the first Chelsea Women’s entry, while Sophie Ingle’s piledriver from distance is also included and will surely be in contention to win the award.

To refresh your memory, or relive any goals you may have missed, watch the video below and then make your selection in our poll further down the page.

Option 1: Kai Havertz v Morecambe (H)

The German capped off our third round FA Cup victory with a thumping header into the far corner from an Azpilicueta cross, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

Option 2: Niamh Charles v Man City (A)

She’d only been on the pitch for a matter of minutes, but Charles certainly made an impact! With our Continental Tyres quarter-final tie with City seemingly escaping us, an incredible turn and volley from sub Charles ensured we would send the tie into extra-time.

Option 3: Sophie Ingle v Man City (A)

Once the game went into extra-time, it was the Blues who powered on and Sophie Ingle’s stunning strike was good enough to win any fixture. The ball was rolled into her path and the Welsh international hammered the ball into the top corner from 25 yards. Pick that one out!

Option 4: Cesar Azpilicueta v Burnley (H)

The first goal under Thomas Tuchel just had to be included! It was the skipper, perhaps an unlikely source, who was the Blue on target as he ran the length of the pitch to support Callum Hudson-Odoi, before side-footing into the roof of the net to set us on our way to a 2-0 win over the Clarets.

Option 5: Marcos Alonso v Burnley (H)

From one Spanish defender, to another. Alonso wrapped up the points against Burnley with a delightful goal of his own, taking the ball on his knee before lashing a left-foot volley into the top corner to secure the points. Not a bad way to mark your first appearance since September!
