If you thought Chelsea are not taking on West Ham United for the foreseeable future then you would be wrong.

True, the Premier League encounter between the two clubs did not take place at the weekend as originally scheduled, and there is currently no new date for the postponed fixture, but that is not stopping two young midfielders from the London rivals from challenging each other at a game of EA Sports’ FIFA 20, a contest which can be viewed this evening (Monday).

The two are good friends and were team-mates when they were together in the Chelsea Academy but despite both playing for the England national team, when it comes to club football they are very much on different sides, as they will be again tonight at 7pm on Chelsea’s YouTube channel.

‘I know we are all missing the Premier League action at the moment but come join us and enjoy what happens,’ says Mount in the build up to the FIFA 20 kick-off. His opposite number is expecting a close contest.

'Mason and I don’t really play against each other on any games – we’ve played with each other mostly – so I’m really looking forward to this first battle!' said Rice.

The FIFA game will feature accompanying commentary and reactions from both Rice and Mount, who have been close friends for more than a decade.
