Having started the Women's Super League season with three consecutive victories, Chelsea's next assignment is a trip to the Chigwell Construction Stadium to face West Ham United on Sunday.
Last weekend's 0-0 draw between Manchester United and Arsenal, coupled with a victory over Leicester City for Sonia Bompastor's side, enabled the Blues to establish a two-point lead at the top of the table.
West Ham, in contrast, sit at the bottom of the Women's Super League table after suffering three straight defeats in their opening fixtures.
Here's what you need to know ahead of Sunday's game...
When and where
We will take on West Ham United at the Chigwell Construction Stadium on Sunday 28 September, with kick-off scheduled for 2:30pm.
How to watch
The match will be shown live on BBC iPlayer, BBC Red Button and the BBC Sport Website in the UK.
As always, you can follow minute-by-minute updates in our West Ham vs Chelsea Match Centre on the official Chelsea website and app.
You can also follow through Chelsea Women’s social media channels on X, Facebook and Instagram.
The form
West Ham United have lost each of their last five WSL games. Defeat on Sunday would mean a sixth loss in a row, something the Hammers have not previously endured.
The Blues are aiming to win their opening four WSL games of a campaign for the fifth time. We won the league title on three of the previous four occasions (2015, 2017/18, and 2024/25).
Since the start of Sonia Bompastor's tenure, Chelsea have opened up a 1-0 lead in the first half of 17 WSL matches, more than any other team in the league.
Recent head-to-head
Chelsea have won 17 of their last 18 games against West Ham United across all competitions – and the Hammers are winless in each of their 14 WSL meetings with the Blues, having drawn two and lost 12.
That said, in the last league meeting between the clubs in March, the Hammers became the first team in Women’s Super League history to come from two goals behind to avoid defeat against the reigning champions, with Shekiera Martinez netting an equaliser in stoppage time at Kingsmeadow.
