A new year often ushers in new hopes and ambitions. So we asked several of our Chelsea Women's players what they wanted from 2026!

Sonia Bompastor and her squad are back to work tomorrow, as the Blues travel to Portugal for a warm-weather training camp that will see our preparations for the second half of the campaign step up.

January will include two matches in the Women's Super League, including a London derby clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, a Women's FA Cup fourth round tie with Crystal Palace, and a Women's League Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

But before the football gets back underway, what better time to ask our players their hopes and ambitions for 2026, both on and off the pitch...

Sonia Bompastor

'When you are at Chelsea, the only thing you can wish for is success. The second part of the season is about competing and going far in every competition. The first part of the season has put us in a good place.

'Now, we need to be ready for the second part of the season, to get some success in 2026, and to reach our goals. We want to go as far as possible in every competition. The four competitions are still on, so I'm hoping we can go as far as we can.'

Lucy Bronze

'My hopes for 2026 are health and happiness. Obviously, I want to win more trophies with Chelsea, too!'

Wieke Kaptein

'I want everyone close to me to stay healthy and to make good memories with the team!'

Millie Bright

'My hopes for 2026 are to be successful with Chelsea, of course, to keep changing the game, but most importantly, to make amazing memories with my family and be happy. 2025 taught me not to take anything for granted.'

Sandy Baltimore

'I hope for health, because that's the most important thing.'

Aggie Beever-Jones

'To win as much as we can and enjoy the little things!'

Hannah Hampton

'To be back playing football with the team again. Playing with a smile on my face, enjoying myself with club and country, doing the best we can.'

Alyssa Thompson

'My wish for 2026 is to become even more settled at Chelsea and to find new things to do in London.'

Lauren James

'To win the Women's Champions League!'

Sjoeke Nusken

'One of my hopes is to win the Women's Champions League! After that, I'm looking forward to the summer. There's no tournament, so I'm hoping to have a really nice time and to relax before we move on to the next season.'
