Cesar Azpilicueta, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante and Thiago Silva all trained at Cobham again on Tuesday morning.

The session is the final one to be held before Chelsea play Real Madrid in the Bernabeu on Wednesday night and as they had done yesterday, the four joined the rest of the fit players out on the pitches as Frank Lampard put them through their paces. The early part of training was open to the media and streamed live on chelseafc.com and The 5th Stand.

Mount and Kante were not in the squad for the game at Wolves at the weekend. The England international had been troubled again by the pelvic problem that has kept him out since playing at Tottenham at the end of February. Our France midfielder’s return after surgery is being managed for game time. Lampard confirmed after the match on Saturday that Kante would be available to play this week.

Thiago Silva meanwhile is on the way back and is yet to play after damaging knee ligaments in that game at Spurs.

Cesar Azpilicueta continues to train following a knock in a Cobham session that rendered him unavailable for recent games. He has not featured since suffering a separate head injury at home to Southampton nine games ago.

However Marcus Bettinelli was not part of the goalkeeper group training today. Lampard reported after Wolves that he had a small injury problem that forced him out of the squad at the weekend. Armando Broja remains out long-term.

Our caretaker manager and one of the players will be talking at a media conference after they land in Madrid later today. It will be streamed on our platforms from 6pm UK time.
