Chelsea’s development squad make the trip to Shropshire on Saturday morning to take on Wolves in Premier League 2.
As a preview to the action, we look at everything you need to know ahead of our trip to the PL2 newcomers.
When and where
Due to pitch conditions at Telford, the game will now be played at Wolves' Compton Training Ground on Saturday, kick-off is at 12:45pm. Spectators are welcome.
Andy Myers’s team remain the only unbeaten side in PL2 and after nine games they sit in pole position. However Derby – who are level with Chelsea on 21 points at the top of the table – and north-London rivals Arsenal are close to the Blues in the hunt for first place.
Wolves are currently in 10th place with nine points but they will take confidence from their last outing at Derby County. Only a second-half comeback with an injury time equaliser denied Wolves what would have been their third victory of the PL2 campaign.
Myers may look to make use of his squad as a number of the development squad players have been away on international duty during the break. Tino Anjorin, Tariq Lamptey and Thierno Ballo returned to Cobham this week after representing their respective countries - as has Ian Maatsen who returned from the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Brazil where his Dutch side lost out in the third place play-off to strong French opponents.
Last time out
Jon Russell’s second goal of the season and a maiden PL2 goal for Armando Broja sealed the points against Blackburn Rovers which saw Myers’ side occupy first place prior to the international window.
