The six clubs Chelsea will face in the league phase of this season’s Women's Champions League have been confirmed.

The Blues made it to the semi-final of the competition last year, but this time around, we will compete under a new format.

UEFA have now expanded the pool to 18 teams in a new league phase for the Women's Champions League.

That will see Sonia Bompastor’s side host three matches at Stamford Bridge and travel to three others across the continent. We will not face the same opponent twice in the league phase.

The teams that finish in the top four places of the league phase will advance straight through to the quarter-finals. Teams placed 5th to 12th will enter a two-legged play-off.

The four clubs that win their play-off ties progress to the quarter-finals, where they will each face one of the top-four finishers, who will be seeded and will play the second leg of their quarter-final at home. Clubs that finish 13th and below will exit the competition.

The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland, and the Blues’ UEFA coefficient ranking ensured we took our place in Pot 1.

And after being the first club drawn from Pot 1, our path was set by the automated software…
