Four members of Chelsea's academy started for England's Under-18s as they beat the Netherlands 2-1 to secure the U18 Pinatar Super Cup.

Ishe Samuels-Smith, Josh Acheampong, Kiano Dyer and Tyrique George all made the starting XI as the Blues came out on top, while Reiss-Alexander Russell-Denny, Harrison Murray-Campbell and Michael Golding all began on the bench before coming into the action later on.

The victory secured the U18 Pinatar Super Cup – a mini-tournament held in Spain against Czechia, Germany and the Netherlands – as Leo Black and Leon Chiwome’s goals put the game out of reach. Chelsea’s Teddy Curd and Harrison McMahon weren’t named in the matchday squad.

The youth side beat Czechia 2-1, with George notching the all-important winner, and Germany on penalties on the way to beating the Oranje in Spain.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic was an unused substitute as Serbia beat Cyprus 1-0 in an exhibition match.

Meanwhile, Malo Gusto was absent from France’s Under-23 squad during their game against the US having returned to Chelsea early through illness.
