Chelsea Women scored several outstanding goals in 2025, but there was a clear winner in the minds of Blues supporters as to which was best.

We shortlisted ten excellent goals from a year in which the Blues claimed a domestic Treble. The Women's League Cup was lifted in March before we claimed a sixth successive Women's Super League title by going unbeaten. The Women's FA Cup was then added at Wembley.

A strong start has also been made to the 2025/26 campaign – and it is a goal struck this season that has been selected as the best scored by our women's team over the past 12 months.

So step forward, Ellie Carpenter, whose wonderful solo effort in our Champions League clash with Barcelona at Stamford Bridge topped our poll.

Carpenter started the move for the goal, exchanging passes with Aggie Beever-Jones before bursting into the Barcelona half.

After receiving the ball back, the Australian international sprinted forward 30 yards before driving the ball home from just inside the penalty area.

That goal garnered 34 per cent of the votes cast, well ahead of the strike that finished second: Lauren James' dramatic stoppage-time winner against Everton in February (13 per cent).

A key goal in our WSL title charge, the Blues were headed for a frustrating 1-1 draw at Kingsmeadow before James unleashed a powerful left-footed drive that flew into the net, via the post, from 25 yards out.

Alyssa Thompson's wonderful clipped finish against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in November rounded off the top three with 11 per cent of the vote.

Receiving a pass from Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, the American delicately placed the ball into the far corner to put the Blues ahead in a high-profile WSL clash.

Let's hope for many more great goals and successful moments for the Blues in the year ahead!
