Zak Sturge has left Chelsea and completed a permanent transfer to Championship club Millwall.
Sturge joined the Blues in August 2022 from Brighton and Hove Albion and featured regularly for our Under-21s in his first campaign.
The defender gained senior experience during the first half of the 2023/24 season, making 15 appearances on loan at Peterborough United.
After returning to Chelsea, Sturge was named in the senior match-day squad for the first time and then helped our Under-21s reach the Premier League 2 play-offs.
Last season, Sturge embarked on his second loan when he joined Millwall in February. He made five appearances for the club, which he now joins permanently.
We thank Zak for his efforts during his time at Chelsea and wish him well on the next step in his career.
