Chris Jones

Assistant Coach

Chris Jones returned to Chelsea in the summer of 2019 as part of Frank Lampard's backroom staff, having spent a season with him at Derby County.

Jones originally joined us in 2006 following three years spent working at Fulham. He began with the Academy and reserve teams, before moving up to work with the first team squad upon Carlo Ancelotti's arrival in 2009. He continued that role working under Andre Villas-Boas before taking the first team fitness coach responsibilities when Villas-Boas departed in March 2012. He has also worked with England Under-19s and Under-21s, and is a graduate of Loughborough University.

In the summer of 2018 it was announced he would be joining Derby County as a first team coach, working with former Blues Lampard and Jody Morris.
