Denise Reddy

Women's Assistant Coach

Denise Reddy joined up with Emma Hayes and her backroom ahead staff ahead of the 2020/21 season. Reddy has previously worked as Hayes’ assistant at National Women’s Soccer League side Chicago Red Stars from 2008 to 2010.

After graduating with a degree in Exercise Science, Reddy enjoyed a professional playing career in Sweden at Malmo FF Dam, now known as FC Rosengard, which lasted 11 years before hanging up her boots to pursue a coaching career.

The American is a UEFA Pro-Licence coach and comes with a wealth of experience having coached professionally in the NWSL and Europe for over a decade. After her time in Chicago as Hayes’ assistant, Reddy returned to Scandinavia where she coached at Linkopings and Vittsjo GIK in Sweden and at Danish side B93/HIK/Skjold.

Reddy then headed back to the United States where she had spells at NWSL outfits Washington Spirit as the assistant and at Sky Blue FC as head coach.

Prior to joining Chelsea, she worked as the assistant coach for the USA Under-20s women’s national team.
