Two months after his 18th birthday Broja notched a hat-trick on his maiden FA Youth Cup bow in a 4-0 win over Huddersfield Town at Kingsmeadow - that was followed by the forward scoring during his first start for the development squad in a single goal victory over Tottenham. A reward for an excellent start to the season, Broja signed a two-and-a-half year deal to keep him at the club until June 2022 and finished the 2019/20 season with 23 goals in 33 games.

Senior career

After reaching 20 Academy goals for the season with a strike against Milwall at Stamford Bridge in the FA Youth Cup, Broja was handed his Chelsea debut in the home Premier League fixture against Everton in March 2020 replacing Olivier Giroud as an 86th-minute substitute.

Loan experience

After a good season in Academy football Broja headed to Holland to experience a full season on men's football with Vitesse Arnhem. The striker gave a strong account of himself in the top flight of Dutch football, recording 11 goals in 34 appearances, making him one of the top-scoring teenagers in Europe.

In August 2021, it was announced that he would spend the season on loan in the Premier League with Southampton.
