Josimar Quintero was at Barcelona for a number of years before signing for Chelsea in July 2014.

In his younger days he played right-back but is now predominantly an attacking midfield player who can go box-to-box or play wide and is a good runner with the ball. He made his first appearances for the club in the 2015/16 season, featuring on three occasions in our successful UEFA Youth League campaign. The youngster opened his goalscoring account in a 3-3 draw away at Porto in September 2015, while also playing regularly for Adi Viveash's Under-21 side.

Quintero signed a first professional contract in the summer of 2014, committing himself to the club until the end of the 2016/17 season.

In 2016/17, he was a regular in our development squad side, making 20 appearances. His five goals made him that team's second highest scorer.

At the start of July 2017, Quintero signed a new contract to 2019 and moved on loan to the Russian top flight with Rostov. In January 2018 he changed loan clubs to Real Betis.

In August 2018, it was announced that he would spend the season on loan in Spain at Lleida Esportiu.
