Kenedy completed his move to Stamford Bridge from Fluminense in August 2015.
A versatile attacker, the Brazilian can play on either flank as well as in a more central position.
He made his Chelsea debut as a second-half substitute in a Premier League match against Crystal Palace in August 2015.
Kenedy was handed his first start for the club in a League Cup game at Walsall shortly afterwards and enjoyed a night to remember, opening his Chelsea account with a fine strike in a 4-1 victory and setting up an early goal for Ramires.
Having been started by Jose Mourinho as a left-back in home match against Norwich in Novermber 2015, Kenedy was again selected there by Guus Hiddink in the reverse fixture at the start of March 2016 and he scored the Premier League's fastest goal of the season after 39 seconds. He made seven starts and 13 sub appearances in his first season in England.
The youngster had played for the Blues in a pre-season friendly against Barcelona ahead of the 2015/16 campaign, having been given permission by former club Fluminense to take part, and his performance was one which convinced then-manager Jose Mourinho he could be an important member of the first-team squad.
Following his first season at Chelsea and the appointment of Antonio Conte, it was announced in Auguat 2016 that Kenedy would move on loan to Watford but he returned to Stamford Bridge following a knee injury, with the manager keen to assess him before deciding on any future move.
The player came on a substitute in an FA Cup win over Brentford in January 2017 and remained part of the first team squad for the rest of the 2016/17 season, making one more appearance, a start at home to Watford in the game after the league had been won. He played a part in Michy Batshuayi's goal in a 4-3 victory.
In the first half of the 2017/18 season, Kenedy featured in both domestic cup competitions for the Blues, scoring the opening goal in a Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest, before on 23 January 2018, making a loan move to Premier League Newcastle United.
He impressed on Tyneside, playing 13 times and scoring twice, both in a home win over Southampton, as the Geordies secured a comfortable mid-table spot. In July 2018 it was announced he would be spending a further season on loan at Newcastle.
Kenedy has represented Brazil at Under-20 and Under-22 level.
