The defender represented the youth team as both an Under-15 and Under-16 schoolboy, before featuring regularly in our Treble-winning Under-18 campaign in 2016/17. As captain of England Under-17s, he came within seconds of the European Championship title in the summer of 2017 before featuring in every game at the Under-17 World Cup later in the year, scoring in the 5-2 final victory against Spain.

He featured 30 times for the youth team as Jody Morris's side completed a remarkable Quadruple, and made his development squad debut in late March.
In 2018/19, the Ivory Coast-born defender stepped up to play his football with the Under-19s and development squad, establishing himself as a regular at the heart of our defence. In September 2017, he signed a first professional contract until the end of the 2019/20 season.
In 2019, Guehi made his senior debut in the 7-1 Carabao Cup victory over Grimsby Town after being named as an unused substitue for the UEFA Champions League tie against Valencia at Stamford Bridge. The imposing central defender made his England Under-21 debut in an UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier where England recorded a win over Turkey in September 2019 - Guehi has since made a further five appearances for the young Lions playing the duration in all games.
Guehi's first experience of continued senior football came during his first loan spell at Swansea City in the Championship. In the first season of his loan spell he made 14 outings and helped the Welsh side reach the play-offs - Swansea fell short of making the Premier League, falling to a narrow defeat against Brentford in the semi-finals in July 2020.
Having finished the season strongly, it was announced the next month he would be returning to Swansea for the 2020/21 season.
