The final addition to the Chelsea Women’s squad in the summer of 2018 was Adelina Engman, who moved to London from Swedish club Kopparbergs/Goteborg.
Just as with fellow new recruit Ali Riley, Engman joined the WSL1 champions and FA Cup holders during the mid-season break in Sweden's Damallsvenskan, signing a contract until the summer of 2021.
An experienced international who has been capped more than 50 times by her country since debuting in 2012, she has spent the past three years playing in Sweden, having moved to Finland's Scandinavian neighbours in 2015.
Prior to that, she twice won the league title in her homeland with Aland United and boasted a scoring rate of more than one goal per game, although for much of that time she was deployed as a centre-forward, while her spell in Sweden was largely spent playing just off the striker or out wide. She describes herself as a player who is more a creator than the one to finish chances, and she loves to run - which will be music to the ears of Emma Hayes.
Engman, who is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, also has a degree in Economics.
