Lizzie Durack

Following the departure of third-choice keeper Becky Spencer in the summer of 2018, the Blues moved quickly to bring in Lizzie Durack to provide competition in the goalkeeping position.

Although she is an England international, Durack’s path to south-west London has certainly not been conventional. Born and bred in Australia, she briefly played for Everton before moving to the USA to study economics and neurobiology at Harvard University, where she played college football, and then returning to the Toffees for the 2017/18 WSL 1 season.

The training environment at Cobham was a familiar one for Durack to return to, having previously trained with the club while on a work placement in London during her studies, and she also has an England cap to her name as she qualifies for the Lionesses through her mother.
