William Hill's Hull preview

After getting back to winning ways in the Premier League, the attentions now turn to the FA Cup, as Hull City visit Stamford Bridge in the fifth round on Friday night.

The Blues will see this competition as an opportunity to build momentum and go one better than last season, where they were narrowly defeated in the final. They start the game as 2/9 favourites with William Hill.

This will be the second Championship side Chelsea have faced in the FA Cup this term, following a stern test by Norwich in the third round. The Blues came through on penalties that evening and Hull will be buoyed by the performance of their league rivals. However, the Tigers sit just one point above the relegation zone and start the game as huge underdogs at 12/1.

With a break of just three days between the victory over West Brom and Friday night's tie, and with a crunch Champions League clash against Barcelona on Tuesday evening, Antonio Conte may look to utilise his squad in order to keep his players fit over this hectic period. Oliver Giroud impressed on his first start for the club against the Baggies, assisting Eden Hazard's opener, and could again make the line-up for the visit of Hull. He’s 12/5 to score first and 13/5 to score two or more against the Tigers.

Eden Hazard has scored six goals and contributed one assist in his last six matches, if he features then he is likely to provide an attacking threat once again – it’s 5/1 for the Belgian to score and Chelsea to win 2-0, 3-0 or 4-0, enhanced by William Hill from 4/1.

The two sides last met at the Bridge in the Premier League back in January 2017, with Chelsea running out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Diego Costa and Gary Cahill. It’s 11/2 for a repeat of that scoreline and 13/2 for the skipper to score at any time.

Hull City have only scored five goals in their last six matches across all competitions, but they did score twice in their last league match against Nottingham Forest. It’s 21/10 for Chelsea to win and both teams to score.
