Foxes next in FA Cup
news Sat 17 Feb 2018
Chelsea have been drawn away from home against Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The Blues and the Foxes were drawn together in Saturday evening's draw, one of two all-Premier League ties in the competition's last eight.
We reached this stage with a 4-0 win over Hull City on Friday night, having previously come past matches against Norwich City and Newcastle United, while this is the first time Leicester will face top-flight opposition in this season's FA Cup, having beaten Fleetwood Town, Peterborough United and Sheffield United.
This is the sixth time we have been drawn against the Foxes in the FA Cup, having so far progressed to the next round on every occasion, most recently in 2011/12, also in the quarter-finals, when we triumphed 5-2 courtesy of a Fernando Torres brace and goals from Gary Cahill, Salomon Kalou and Raul Meireles.
This season's quarter-final ties will take place across the weekend of 16-19 March with the exact date and time to follow.
THE FULL DRAW IS:
Leicester City v Chelsea
Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion
Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea City v Rochdale or Tottenham Hotspur
Southampton v Wigan Athletic or Manchester City
