Graham Potter has revealed concerns that Mason Mount and Reece James could both miss tomorrow's match against Leeds United after picking up injuries, but provided the latest news on when N'Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy and Cesar Azpilicueta could be back in action for Chelsea.

Chelsea host Leeds United at Stamford Bridge hoping to bounce back after suffering back-to-back Premier League defeats in our last two matches, at home against Southampton and away to Tottenham Hotspur.

Before discussing the latest injury news, Graham Potter explained why he feels it is his job to take personal responsibility for the team's form and putting it right moving forward.

'The results are the results and ultimately the coach is responsible, so we have to improve those, that’s the first thing,' he said. 'Then you have to look at the performance of the team and how we can improve that because generally if you improve the performance of the team you can get better results. That’s my responsibility and that’s what I have to do.

'As the head coach you have to take that responsibility, that’s the job. I don’t think it’s a total responsibility but it’s certainly a huge responsibility. The results haven’t been good enough, we know that and we accept that. There’s no hiding behind it. We have to do better and that starts with me.'

Chelsea vs Leeds Thiago Silva, Mendy, Kante and Azpilicueta injury update

Thiago Silva was added to our injury list when he was forced off with a knee problem in last week's game at Tottenham and Potter confirmed that the Brazilian could be out for up to six weeks.

He also updated on the progress of Edouard Mendy, N'Golo Kante and Cesar Azpilicueta, as they continue to work towards their own return from injury.

'Thiago will be around that time, I’m not sure when it will be exactly,' explained Potter. 'Mendy’s making progress but he's not yet joined full training with the group.

'N’Golo had his first full training session today but obviously still needs time. Azpi’s made progress, but he's still not through the protocols we have to do after a head injury like that.'

Chelsea vs Leeds James injury update

There was also bad news on another potential addition to our list of absentees, with Potter revealing an issue for Reece James.

'Reece has got a tightness in his hamstring, we’re just assessing him, so he’s doubtful for tomorrow as well.'

Chelsea vs Leeds Mount injury and contract update

James wasn't the only new name causing Potter concern, with news that Mason Mount could miss Leeds' visit to the Bridge, while our head coach also addressed questions about Mount's contract situation.

'Mason’s had a problem with his lower abdomen area, the bone, so he’ll miss the game tomorrow. We hope it won’t be too long but tomorrow will be too soon.

'Mason, for us, has been great to work with. He’s been top. He’s suffering like the rest of us because we want to do better, we want better results.

'In terms of the contract, that’s between him and the club. I’m the head coach and I get on with my job to work with the players and help them improve and at the moment we’re not doing that as well as we’d like, so that’s the focus for me.'

Chelsea vs Leeds injury list

Armando Broja remains unavailable to Potter as he continues to work on his rehabilitation following injury. Mateo Kovacic could return after missing our last game due to illness, while Christian Pulisic is back in light training and building towards a return.

Leeds will be without Stuart Dallas, who underwent surgery in January, while Rodrigo and Adam Forshaw are not expected to return from injury until later this month. However, manager Javi Gracia hopes to have Pascal Struijk, Luis Sinisterra and Liam Cooper available again at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea vs Leeds suspension

There are no suspensions for either side in this match.

Players who accumulate 10 yellow cards in Premier League matches up to and including our 32nd fixture will serve a two-match suspension in the competition.
