Chelsea FC Foundation hosted two memorable community days in September, providing a unique opportunity for young participants to meet the players who inspire them.
These sessions are part of our ongoing commitment to engaging with the community and supporting children facing challenging moments in their lives.
Among the attendees were Archer Poole, Marley Bartlett (a participant from Chelsea Foundation’s U8 pan-disability programme and a referral from Partyman’s Magic Makers), Ethan Barker-Clarke, and Jack Sharp who was a referral from the Willow Foundation.
The excitement in the air was palpable as the children interacted with their heroes, enjoying discussions that ranged from football chat to light-hearted topics like breakfast choices. One player humorously claimed they had fish and chips, eliciting laughter from the boys.
Jack Sharp commented on the day: ‘It was amazing to be in Cobham and see all the amazing facilities and get to meet the players. It’s been a hard year for me and this has been the icing on the cake, it’s amazing that the Chelsea Foundation offer these and I am grateful to the club and team for making these happen.’
The open training sessions highlight the club’s dedication to giving back to the community, something we pride ourselves on more than any other club. It is an incredible experience to create lasting memories for children who are navigating tough times, and we are honoured to provide them with moments of joy and inspiration.
The Chelsea FC Foundation remains committed to fostering connections between players and young supporters, ensuring that the spirit of the club extends far beyond the pitch and bringing our community together and uplifting those in need.
