Chelsea have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season. Scout will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.

Here, we look at which Blues players are the best value-for-money picks, why Morgan Rogers (£8.0m) is Chelsea’s most popular player this week and who to captain in Gameweek 9.

The deadline is at 11am GMT on Saturday ahead of the Blues’ clash with Manchester United.

Most popular Chelsea player of the week

Morgan Rogers (£8.0m) is the most popular Chelsea player ahead of Gameweek 9 with over 130,000 transfers in. The Englishman’s ownership has reached 50%, making him the most-selected midfielder in Fantasy, and has risen in price to £8.0m after starting the season at £7.5m.

In the last six Gameweeks, Rogers ranks second for shots (14), second for expected goals (1.03) and fourth for chances created (5) among Blues players. The summer signing scored against Liverpool in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, smartly converting his first-half penalty.

Also proving popular is Pedro Neto (£6.6m), who returned defensive contribution points against Spurs last time out, backing up his 15-point haul against Everton in Gameweek 7. The Portugal international scored twice and notched maximum bonus points. In the last six Gameweeks, Neto sits in the top three for shots on goal and chances created among Blues players, while no Chelsea player has registered more expected goal involvement in that time. Over 80,000 managers have purchased the right-winger.

Despite getting a red card against Spurs, Cole Palmer (£9.8m) is not suspended for GW9. The Englishman has a brilliant record against Man United in a Chelsea shirt, scoring four goals in six starts, including a hat-trick back in the 2023/24 season.

Best value for money picks

Josh Acheampong (£4.5m) has started each of the last three Gameweeks and played the full game at Anfield in midweek. The England under-21 international’s expected minutes have only increased with Maxence Lacroix (£5.9m) picking up a hamstring injury. Acheampong has produced defensive contribution points twice this season in five starts and averages over 7.5 DefCon per/90.

At just £4.5m, Acheampong has the potential to provide very good value in your FPL defence. In goal, Mike Penders (£4.4m) is the cheapest starting goalkeeper in the game and made three saves against both Spurs and Liverpool. Opponents Man United have scored just three goals in the last five Gameweeks ahead of Saturday’s fixture.

Captain's pick

Erling Haaland (£15.8m) is once again a reliable captaincy option for Man City’s home fixture against Brighton. The Norwegian has scored in seven consecutive Gameweeks with nine goals, two double-digit hauls, 14 bonus points and 64 Fantasy points in that time. No player has had more shots on target or xGI than the league’s top-scorer, while the Seagulls conceded three goals last time out away at Liverpool.

Elsewhere, Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m) is an intriguing, differential option against Fulham. The West London side have conceded 22 big chances in eight matches. The Aston Villa forward is the most-bought player with over 900,000 purchases ahead of the deadline. Jackson bagged a brace against Man City and has scored four goals in the last four Gameweeks, returning 30 Fantasy points and rising in price three times in that time.
