Chelsea have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season. Scout will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.
Here, we look at which Blues players are the best value-for-money picks, why Morgan Rogers (£8.0m) is Chelsea’s most popular player this week and who you should captain in Gameweek 8.Â
The deadline is 6.30pm BST on Friday ahead of Nottingham Forest’s trip to Ipswich Town.
Most popular Chelsea player of the week
Morgan Rogers (£8.0m) is the most popular Chelsea player ahead of Gameweek 8 with over 170,000 transfers in. The Englishman has risen in price to £8.0m after starting the season at £7.5m and is the most-selected midfielder in Fantasy, with an ownership of over 48%.
No Chelsea player has registered more expected goal involvement (xGI) than Rogers’ tally of 3.43; on top of that, he has notched 19 shots and created an impressive 13 chances. In an Aston Villa shirt, Rogers picked up three attacking returns in four starts against Spurs.Â
Also proving popular is Pedro Neto (£6.5m) following his 15-point return last time out. The Portugal international scored twice and notched maximum bonus points. He was the highest-scoring player in the game in GW7. Neto has had four big chances, putting him second among all Blues players.
Over 130,000 managers have purchased the right-wing back. With Bukayo Saka flagged as an injury doubt, Cole Palmer (£9.7m) will no doubt be in demand as the deadline approaches. The Chelsea number 10 is averaging just under six points per match in 26/27 and is yet to blank at Stamford Bridge, picking up a goal and three assists at home.
Best value-for-money Chelsea pick
Josh Acheampong (£4.5m) has started each of the last two Gameweeks and played his part in the Blues’ first clean sheet of the season. The England under-21 international picked up defensive contribution points against Everton, the second time he has reached the threshold in four starts. At just £4.5m, Acheampong has the potential to provide very good value in your FPL defence.
In goal, Mike Penders (£4.4m) looks set to start with Emi Martinez (£5.0m) undergoing surgery for a fractured jaw. If selected, the Belgian will be the cheapest starting goalkeeper in the entire game. Spurs have scored just once in three away matches so far this season.
Captain's pick
Outside of Chelsea players, Erling Haaland (£15.7m) is a reliable captaincy option for Man City’s Saturday lunchtime trip to Aston Villa. The Norwegian has scored in six consecutive Gameweeks with eight goals, two double-digit hauls, 12 bonus points and 56 Fantasy points in that time. Haaland has been passed fit in the pre-Gameweek press conference. No player has had more shots on target or xGI than the league’s top scorer. Â
Elsewhere, Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.9m) is an intriguing, differential option against Ipswich Town. Oliver Glasner confirmed in his press conference on Wednesday that the Nottingham Forest talisman is fit and available after missing GW7 with a knock. No player has created more big chances than Gibbs-White (7), who has picked up three attacking returns in three away matches. Opponents Ipswich are yet to keep a clean sheet so far this season.
