Sonia Bompastor and Erin Cuthbert faced the media at Cobham this afternoon ahead of our Women's Champions League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Blues are looking to gain an advantage in the first leg against Renee Slegers' side, before returning to face our rivals in the second leg at Stamford Bridge next Wednesday.

You can read all of the Chelsea team news here, including that club captain Millie Bright has been ruled out of the clash.

Here is a rundown of the other major talking points from today's press conference...

On an important period in the season

Bompastor: 'We know this block is really important for us, it's the business end of the season. And we just want to take it game by game, and my main job right now is to focus on the game plans, the players available, and making sure I prepare them in the best way possible for us to perform in every game.'

On relishing the opportunity

Cuthbert: 'These are the games that everybody wants to be involved in. I for one certainly relish the opportunity of playing in the Champions League quarter-final again. It's a proud moment to be a Chelsea player. I love playing in the Champions League, think it's different from playing domestically. I think when the game is over two legs, it has a little bit of a different mentality to it. I don't think the game will be won or lost tomorrow if I'm honest.'

On controlling the game

SB: 'I think Arsenal are a strong team, and it will be a tough game, but we also know that in some moments of the games, we could hurt them. So we are trying now, going into the game tomorrow, to be as consistent as we can from minute one. We know we have the quality to hurt them. We also want to go into the contest making sure we control the game as much as we can.'

On facing a big occasion

SB: 'I'm really excited to go and be on the touchline, supporting my players to play a Champions League quarter-final, no matter who we are facing. Of course, it's a lot of emotions, but really positive emotions. I'm really excited and really looking forward to going to the game. Champions League matches are really special for a club; it's the biggest competition you can play in as a player and as a manager.'

On having the right mentality

EC: 'I have a lot of respect for Arsenal, they've got some real top players in their squad and quality that they've added. But as do we, and we can hurt them tomorrow night if we turn up with the right attitude, the right mentality and the right belief.'
