For the second Saturday running, Stamford Bridge will host a Chelsea versus Liverpool clash and following on from last weekend’s Premier League thriller, it is the turn of the Legends to take to the pitch.

It is the first time since 2023 that fans can watch an impressive collection of former Blues roll back the years at the Bridge, in what is a rematch of last season’s contest against Liverpool Legends which was held at Anfield.

Tickets for Chelsea Legends vs Liverpool Legends at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (11 October – kick-off 3pm) are still available and on general sale – with prices starting at £17.50.

Over the past few weeks, the squad has taken shape and will be coached on the day by the maestro of Munich 2012 – Roberto Di Matteo.

In attack for the first time in a Chelsea Legends line-up will be Eden Hazard and Diego Costa – veterans of our two most-recent Premier League-winning campaigns, and they will be joined up front by Eidur Gudjohnsen, Salomon Kalou, Loic Remy and the one and only Gianfranco Zola.

Representing Chelsea Women will be former trophy-lifting skipper, Katie Chapman, and one of her colleagues during many major triumphs, attacker Gemma Davison.

Joining Chapman in a mouthwatering midfield pool Di Matteo can call upon are more who brought craft, running, tackling and a steadying influence to our past selections - Joe Cole, Claude Makelele, Florent Malouda, Jody Morris, John Mikel Obi, Ramires and Tiago.

In defence, old partnerships are reunited with John Terry able to be paired again with Marcel Desailly, William Gallas or Gary Cahill, and Frank Sinclair, Jon Harley and Celestine Babayaro are also in the mix.

As for goalkeepers – it certainly is not the first time two Chelsea Player of the Year winners – Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini – are on the same team sheet.

It promises to be an afternoon of nostalgia, celebration, entertainment and plenty of smiles – and all in a great cause.

Proceeds raised from the game on Saturday will go to the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Players’ Trust, which supports the welfare of those who made the club what it is today.

Hospitality packages are available from Club Chelsea - offering a luxury padded seat and complimentary food and drinks.
