You may have spotted it in the wild in recent weeks, but today the new Nike home kit for Chelsea Football Club’s 2026/27 season is released in full.
A blend of global street-level activations and collaborations with famous faces from the Blues family has been teasing the shirt’s look ahead of its official launch and now it is on sale at Stamford Bridge and from our online store – and our lion takes centre stage.
Blue and Gold. Chelsea woven throughout.
Central to the kit’s design is the club crest which, following fan consultation, has been refreshed and interwoven proudly in ‘Bright Blue’ in the fabric on the front of the shirt. There is a collar and a button-down neck, and ‘Midwest Gold’ accents for the rampant lion badge and Nike swoosh which feature on both the jersey and the shorts.
The white socks have a laurel wreath motif which also circles the crest in the shirt’s distinctive two-tone blue pattern.
The 2026/27 campaign is the 75th season since Ted Drake took over as Chelsea manager and reshaped the club’s identity. He replaced the Pensioners nickname with the Blues and the now-iconic lion symbol was introduced. With the lion centre stage again this year, keep looking out for its claw marks on walls, beach murals and projections around the world as it roars its Can’t Tame Us warning.
Thrive in the extreme
This is the first Chelsea kit to feature Aero-FIT technology, Nike's pinnacle expression of cooling innovation, capable of channelling more than double the airflow of legacy Nike materials to reach peak performance in extreme conditions.
Aero-FIT is also Nike's first elite performance apparel made from 100 per cent textile waste, a win in the decades-long commitment to reducing the footprint and helping players adapt to the impact of climate change.
A kit with commitment
From London to Los Angeles, and Sao Paulo to Hong Kong, a series of moments have been reaching our fans across the globe as this kit launches. Justin Rose was the first seen wearing it at golf’s PGA Championship in Pennsylvania, and it was Madonna’s attire as she danced the ‘shoulder drop’ in online posts.
In Brazil, in front of 30,000 at a music festival, local singer-songwriter MC Hariel performed in the shirt, and now in the same city of Sao Paulo, the club’s commitment to growing participation in the beautiful game has resulted in our kit unveiling being marked by the opening of a newly refurbished community football pitch.
Located in Diadema and used daily by local children and youths, the court has been transformed with professional resurfacing and bespoke murals painted by local Brazilian artists celebrating the Chelsea FC x Brazil connection, with floodlight installation to come.
Delivered with a long-term pledge to help maintain the facility for future generations, the project reflects Chelsea FC’s belief in football’s power to unite communities and inspire young players.
The now generation in new-look blue
As seen in the gallery below, many famous faces from our men’s and women’s teams form the pride which is showcasing our new strip today.
