Chelsea Women new signings - Summer 2026

Nelly Las

England youth international Nelly Las joined from Leicester City on a four-year contract. The 18-year-old is an attacking full-back who can play on both sides and is also capable of featuring as a wing-back.

Katie McCabe

The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland captain joined from Arsenal, signing a contract with Chelsea until 30 June 2029, with the option for an additional year.

Melvine Malard

Malard is regarded as one of the most dangerous forwards in the game and signed for Chelsea on a four-year contract after making the move from Manchester United.

Manaka Matsukubo

Matsukubo joined Chelsea on a five-year deal from North Carolina Courage. Widely regarded as one of the most talented young players in world football, the Japanese international was named the NWSL Midfielder of the Year last season.

Chelsea new contracts - Summer 2026

Sandy Baltimore

Sandy Baltimore has signed a contract extension at the club until the summer of 2030. The 26-year-old joined the Blues from Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. We would go on to win an unbeaten domestic Treble that season and her performance in the Women’s FA Cup final stood out in particular as she scored twice in our 3-0 win over Manchester United.

Aggie Beever-Jones

Homegrown star Aggie Beever-Jones signed a new contract with Chelsea until 2030. A product of our Academy, which she joined at nine years old, Beever-Jones has established herself as a key figure in the first-team squad and an England international over the past three seasons.

Lucy Bronze

Lucy Bronze signed a contract extension with Chelsea until the summer of 2027. One of the most experienced and highly decorated players in the women’s game, the defender first signed for the Blues from Barcelona ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Lola Brown

The youngster put pen to paper on a new contract, committing her future to the club until at least 2029. Brown joined Chelsea during the 2019/20 season and agreed her first professional contract in November 2024, aged 17.

Katie Cox

Goalkeeper Katie Cox committed her future to Chelsea by signing a new three-year contract, and has been with the Blues since the age of eight.

Hannah Hampton

Hannah Hampton committed her future to Chelsea by signing a new two-year contract with the club. Since signing for the Blues from Aston Villa three years ago, Hampton has won five trophies with Chelsea, starred for England as the Lionesses retained their European title and was awarded the Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in 2025, recognising her as the best goalkeeper in the world over the previous year.

Eva Hendle

Eva Hendle signed her first professional contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2028, with the option of a further year.

Vera Jones

The midfielder signed a new contract at Chelsea, committing her future to the club until at least 2029. Having joined the Blues in the summer of 2024, the 18-year-old agreed her first professional contract with us in February of last year.

Lois Shooter

Academy striker Lois Shooter has signed her first professional contract with the club until the summer of 2028. Having previously been part of the London City Lionesses’ youth system, Shooter joined the Chelsea Academy at the age of 15.

Becky Spencer

Goalkeeper Becky Spencer will remain with Chelsea for a further year after an option to extend her contract was exercised. The Jamaica international spent the last three months of the domestic Treble-winning 2024/25 season with the Blues after initially joining on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in March 2025.

Chelsea loans - Summer 2026

Mara Alber

Forward Mara Alber will spend the 2026/27 campaign on loan at German club Wolfsburg. The 20-year-old joined the Blues in the summer of 2025 from Hoffenheim and spent the second half of last season on loan at Werder Bremen.

Katie Cox

Cox will head out on loan to Nottingham Forest for the 2026/27 season, following last season's loan at Aberdeen. There, she quickly established herself as first choice between the posts, featuring in 23 of their 26 league fixtures.

Eva Hendle

Eva Hendle joined Rangers on loan for the 2026/27 season after having agreed her first professional contract with Chelsea this summer. Hendle joined the Chelsea Academy aged 12, having previously played in the London City Lionesses youth system.

Vera Jones

Vera Jones completed a season-long loan to Women’s Super League 2 side Watford, having spent last season with Bristol City, playing 22 times.

Femke Liefting

Chelsea goalkeeper Femke Liefting will spend this season on loan at Ajax. The young goalkeeper joined Chelsea in January 2025, signing on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

Louna Ribadeira

Louna Ribadeira will spend a further season on loan at FC Fleury 91 in the French top-flight in 2026/27. She also spent last season on loan at the French club to support her return to football following a prolonged period out with injury.

Lois Shooter

Having signed her first professional contract with Chelsea, Lois Shooter will spend next season on loan at WSL 2 side Nottingham Forest alongside Blues team-mate Katie Cox.

Chelsea departures - Summer 2026

Brooke Aspin

Brooke Aspin joined Bristol City on a permanent transfer. The centre-back came through the Bristol City youth programme and signed for Chelsea shortly after her 18th birthday ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Julia Bartel

Julia Bartel joined Juventus on a permanent transfer. Bartel joined the Blues from Barcelona in the summer of 2024 and made her Chelsea debut in October that year, coming on as a second-half substitute against Twente in the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage.

Niamh Charles

Niamh Charles completed a permanent transfer to Manchester City, bringing a trophy-laden six-year spell at Chelsea to an end. Charles left the Blues having won five WSL titles, four FA Cups and three League Cups. She played 178 games for us and scored 13 goals.

Jorja Fox

Jorja Fox completed a permanent move to Ipswich Town, having joined the Chelsea Academy at the age of eight, and made her senior debut for the Blues in a 4-0 away victory against Aston Villa in the 2020/21 campaign.

Johanna Rytting Kaneryd

Johanna Rytting Kaneryd left Chelsea to join French side Lyonnes on a permanent deal. The Sweden international spent four successful seasons with the Blues after arriving from Hacken in 2022. Rytting Kaneryd played 139 times for us, scoring 17 goals, registering 26 assists and lifting seven major trophies.
