There is nothing like a London derby to sharpen the focus and Chelsea continued to up the intensity in training as we edge towards Saturday’s big game at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are on a roll after back-to-back wins over Bournemouth and Everton and are looking to carry that momentum into a third week to register three consecutive Premier League victories for the first time since February.

What better time to do so than when our capital rivals Tottenham Hotspur come to SW6, having only lost one of our last 16 Premier League home derbies in total, unbeaten in those fixtures since 2024.

Xabi Alonso and his squad have spent the week preparing for our next derby at Cobham, with the intensity stepping up as we edge closer to Saturday’s kick-off, knowing victory over Tottenham this weekend would be a club-record seventh in a row against Spurs in the league.

Among those being put through their paces on the training pitch were Mike Penders, who became Chelsea’s youngest Premier League goalkeeper when coming on to replace Emiliano Martinez for his debut at Everton, and Cole Palmer, who has five goal involvements in as many top-flight games against Tottenham.
