The Blues took control during the first half, with Greenwood and McGillvary finding the net before the interval.

Bournemouth were reduced to ten men early in the second half when Kelvin Arthur was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Dako, who then converted the resulting free-kick.

Perez added a fourth before a deflection off Jake Drewett completed the scoring.

Greenwood opens the scoring

Chelsea had the first sight of goal after three minutes when Lewi Richards shot over from the centre of the box.

Andrew Pennie then tested Bournemouth goalkeeper William Upstell, who saved the midfielder's effort from outside the box before holding Dako's follow-up.

The breakthrough arrived in the 14th minute. Greenwood held up Toby Bell’s long pass, picked out Gabriel Sambou who slipped in the striker. He burst clear and finished right-footed into the bottom-left corner to put the young Blues ahead.

Bournemouth continued to threaten from distance, but Chelsea doubled our advantage in the 26th minute. Pennie provided the set-up for McGillvary, who made no mistake from the centre of the box.

Greenwood went close to adding another before the break, while Pennie was also denied by Upstell. Richards then rose highest from a corner in stoppage time but headed just over.

Dako free-kick adds third

Chelsea continued to press after the restart, with Pennie seeing another effort saved before one of the game's decisive moments arrived in the 56th minute.

Dako, racing clear on goal, was caught by a challenge from Bournemouth substitute Kelvin Arthur. He was shown a straight red card with the foul having taken place just outside the box.

Dako dusted himself down and took responsibility for the resulting free-kick, thumping a right-footed effort into the top-left corner to make it 3-0.

The Blues continued to create opportunities and added a fourth in the 71st minute. Dako squared for Perez, who walked the ball in from close range.

There was time for a fifth, as substitute Bilal Shah drove into the box and saw his effort take a hefty deflection off Drewett to complete the scoring.

What it means

The result gives Chelsea a fourth league victory of the season and leaves the young Blues with 12 points from six Under-18 Premier League matches.

It is also a second consecutive league win at Cobham following last month's 6-1 victory over Reading.

Chelsea Under-18s will return to action on Saturday 10 October, when we welcome Manchester United to Cobham in the Under-18 Premier League Cup.
