The two newest outfielders in Chelsea men’s squad are approaching the start of their first Premier League season and they have been out on the training pitches working hard to put themselves in contention for action early in 2023/24.
Midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu completed his transfer from French club Rennes on the first day of this month. Central defender Axel Disasi followed his path from another Ligue 1 club, Monaco, four days later.
The timings of their moves meant Ugochukwu was able to join his new colleagues at the tail end of their tour of the USA. For Disasi, his arrival coincided with the squad returning to England so his first training was at Cobham.
